YOU HAVE TIME UNTIL THE 31ST MARCH 2016.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 Dear All,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 I am going to share the needed information for the 2016 Seagulls Projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0 We would like to support the future leaders of our world under the leadership of our teachers and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 community leaders through problem-solving skills ornamented with quality tools and ICT (Information <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 and Communication Technologies) use effectively.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>\u201cICT Seagulls Project\u201d<\/strong> was designed for students of K-12 levels by Dr. Hayal K\u00f6ksal, and\u00a0 then, she added a new project under the title of <strong>\u201cLeading Seagulls Project\u201d<\/strong> for university students, teacher-trainees, for the retired teachers and all the community leaders. Both projects hug not only the gifted but also the disabled participants. Faculty administrators, business world, NGO leaders and parents are all invited from all countries to support world future generations through those projects.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>After 352 certified national and international projects, we claim that we are doing a good thing for the future world.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>We will train and follow and give needed feedback to your teams through technology.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Our Methodology is \u201c\u0130mece Circles\u201d. Form your team (=circle), decide on your problem area and apply.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Our sharing mode is Web Page design and Blog supported by PPT Presentations both in Turkish and in English.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Registration starts on 10<sup>th<\/sup> October 2015 &amp; Projects end on 6<sup>th<\/sup> June 2016.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><u>&#8220;<strong>ICT Seagulls<\/strong>\u00a0<\/u>&#8220;; will be formed under the dynamic leadership of <u>two project teachers<\/u> along with 5-8 students and two parents. The role of teachers is only facilitating.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><u>Leading Seagulls<\/u>&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>project is for university teams, for teacher-trainees attending Faculty of Education, for retired teachers and for all community leaders including families, business world and NGOs. 2-10 members might be a good start. This is a flexible model based upon negotiation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bilisimcimartilar.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/bilim-senligi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-472\" src=\"http:\/\/bilisimcimartilar.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/bilim-senligi-300x113.jpg\" alt=\"bilim-senligi\" width=\"300\" height=\"113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bilisimcimartilar.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/bilim-senligi-300x113.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bilisimcimartilar.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/bilim-senligi-195x74.jpg 195w, https:\/\/bilisimcimartilar.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/bilim-senligi.jpg 595w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Through &#8220;ICT Seagulls &amp; Leading Seagulls Projects\u201d, participants will;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>grasp the spirit of the team and understand the necessity of collaboration,<\/li>\n<li>learn how to use PDCA Mindset and quality tools in advanced problem-solving skill to solve their problems,<\/li>\n<li>use technology and the Internet effectively and creatively,<\/li>\n<li>understand the necessity of practice rather than only knowing theory,<\/li>\n<li>enhance awareness of environmental protection, cultural differences, importance of knowing history,<\/li>\n<li>manage their time in the most effective way,<\/li>\n<li>learn and apply ethical rules,<\/li>\n<li>be aware of the importance of communication,<\/li>\n<li>develop tolerance, respect and love for all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The supporting bodies of the projects are:<\/strong> &#8220;The Association for Innovative Collaboration (Y\u0130MEDER)&#8221;, &#8220;Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University Peace Education and Research Center (BUPERC)&#8221;, &#8220;Tria Bili\u015fim&#8221;, &#8220;Do\u011fan Advertisement&#8221; from Turkey;\u00a0and also \u201cThe World Council for Total Quality &amp; Excellence in Education (WCTQEE)\u201d, \u201cCity Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, India\u201d, &#8220;QUEST-Nepal&#8221;, &#8220;NYDT-South Africa&#8221; and &#8220;Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Network&#8221;. &#8220;Bilim \u015eenli\u011fi&#8221; has been our last supporter. Thank you very much to all of the supporting dosts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Do you want to be with us in this collaborative project?<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Audience:<\/strong> The project is open to all students from Kindergarten to graduate classes of Turkish and international\u00a0schools in and out of Turkey.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>STUDENT- focused \u201cICT Seagulls\u201d Project;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pre-school classes<\/li>\n<li>Elementary School,<\/li>\n<li>Middle School,<\/li>\n<li>High school,<\/li>\n<li>Technical and Vocational Schools.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>(Open to all gifted and challenged\/disabled participation).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ADULT<u>-focused \u201cLEADING Seagulls\u201d Project;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Student-teachers (Students of the Faculties of Education),<\/li>\n<li>All university students attending any faculty,<\/li>\n<li>Retired teachers,<\/li>\n<li>Non-governmental Organizations,<\/li>\n<li>Business leaders and companies,<\/li>\n<li>Local Governors,<\/li>\n<li>Parents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Why Such A Project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a very successful project, lasting for 13 years.\u00a0So far, through 340 national and international projects conducted in Turkey, India, USA, UK, Nepal and South Africa, nearly 4,000 students, teachers, parents and supporting bodies participated in the project, and they are used to saying they have learned and enjoyed a lot.<\/li>\n<li>World Council supports it, due to its aim and scope. \u201c2002 UNESCO Peace Education\u201d Awarded City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, India hosts the Awards Ceremony of it every two year during the ICSQCCs. We are thankful to Dr. Jagdish Gandhi and Dr. Vineeta Kamran for that wonderful support and hospitality.<\/li>\n<li>It upgrades the quality of educational system with its &#8220;multiple-intelligence-based, peace-oriented, innovative and creative format\u201d by directing the students to problem-solving steps rather than memorization.\u00a0Following scientific research method and ethical application, using quality tools and statistics are needed ingredients.\u00a0Students indulge in the best practices of collaborative studies through \u0130MECE (A cultural word from the Turkish villages meaning collaboration).<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Sensitivity &#8220;is a very important feature like empathy. We act with the slogan of great leaders Atat\u00fcrk:\u00a0&#8220;Peace at home, peace in the world&#8221;. We need to learn and to teach sensitivity and understanding to cultural differences.<\/li>\n<li>Preserving the eco system is necessary for all of us and this teaching exists within the projects.<\/li>\n<li>Loving humanity, respecting and supporting it is essential in this project. WE NEVER APPROVE NEGATIVE RIVALRY.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>This year only two problems will be studied:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Topics:<br \/>\n<\/strong>This year we have only\u00a03 topics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Solving problems like Atat\u00fcrk and finding solutions with his glasses.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Environment<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Ethics.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The participants determine the project area and topic. They follow the \u201cPDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Mindset\u201d taking the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Research (Literature Reviewing) and planning,<\/li>\n<li>Data collection for the implementation,<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing the collected data,<\/li>\n<li>Suggestions and conclusion to solve the problem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>It must be kept in mind that;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ethics of scientific research and project studies is essential.<\/li>\n<li>At every step, the use of technology and quality tools is necessary.<\/li>\n<li>The process and the outcomes should be shared via social media and the Internet to inform the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Steps and the Calendar of the year 2016:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Teams can register the Project only after following the following steps:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Project team\/school becomes a Project Partner of Y\u0130MEDER only for six months through filling the Partnership Form. School\/Organization leader signs it.<\/li>\n<li>The school leader and the project leader sign registration Form of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Registration period of the 2016 Projects will start on October 10, 2015 and will last until <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">the\u00a0Last day of March 2016.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>After the registration, participants get three \u201cTraining PPTs\u201d to learn more about the steps of the projects. If the participants arrange, they may invite Dr. K\u00f6ksal to their schools for the training and counselling. The project methodology is &#8220;\u0130mece Circles\u201d. Visiting the web pages of the previous years\u2019 projects through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bilisimcimartilar.com\/\">www.bilisimcimartilar.com<\/a> is highly recommended.<\/li>\n<li>During the preparation of the projects, Skype conferences will be used for all kinds of counseling and guidance.\u00a0A continuous and regular communication is needed for a successful project management.\u00a0This is also an important criterion in the evaluation! My address is \u201chayal.koksal1\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>The web or Blog addresses of the finalized projects will be delivered to Dr. K\u00f6ksal on 6 June 2016.<\/li>\n<li>Announcement of the results of peer- and jury-evaluation will take place until the mid-days of July.<\/li>\n<li>Award ceremony will be held in Turkey.
