Then, peer- and jury assessment started. Last week it was finalized and the results appeared. They are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>This year 2 Turkish and 5 teams from other countries registered to the project. However, 5 projects were completed.\u00a0 One Turkish project was registered last year, and they were the 2nd Turkish team which belonged to an adult team from the Education Group of Sariyer City Council. They had planned to lead a two-year project. It was about the educational system of Turkey and ended in 2024. The other Turkish team was a Middle school team from Dat\u00e7a, Mu\u011fla, T\u00fcrkiye. Three overseas projects belonged to High schools in India (2 teams) and Pakistan (1 team). The theme of this year was: Social responsibility and voluntarism. Here are the projects and their links:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cDAT\u00c7A SEAGULLS\u201d Team of Dat\u00e7a Y\u0131lmazlar Middle School (Dat\u00e7a, Mu\u011fla, T\u00fcrkiye), consisting of 8 students, and 3 teachers, focused on the \u201cMarine Pollution problem of Dat\u00e7a\u201d worked to suggest possible solutions to raise awareness about it within the community. Project leaders guided the team members: Ali Ergen, Kenan G\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f, and T\u00fcmer Kara, with the great support of the school principal, Mrs. T\u00fclay Demirci. For the \u201cMiddle school age group\u201d, their project award was: \u201cTHE BEST MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT of 2024\u201d. They also got: \u201cK\u00dcBRA K\u00dc\u00c7\u00dcKERDEN KO\u00c7AN JURY SPECIAL AWARD\u201d. Ms. Ko\u00e7an was one of the outstanding activists about nature, environment, and community leadership and a precious member of Y\u0130MEDER. We lost her last Spring, and this new award was designed on behalf of her name. R\u0130P.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please visit:\u00a0 https:\/\/datcamartilari.my.canva.site\/<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cS\u0130L\u0130CON SAMARITANS\u201d Circle of City Montessori School (CMS) Kanpur Road (Lucknow, India), consisting of 10 students aged 16-17, 2 parents and 3 community leaders, worked on \u201cThe integration of technology to education to form world peace and unity\u201d project. With the support of the school principal Dr. Vineeta Kamran, the team members worked under the great leadership of Mr. Vaibhav Srivastava, and Mrs. Mamta Singh Chauhan. The jury members determined their project as: \u201cTHE CHAMPION ICT PROJECT\u201d &amp; \u201cPROF.DR. \u00dcM\u0130T SERDARO\u011eLU JURY SPECIAL AWARD of 2024\u201d. Prof. Serdaro\u011flu was one of the most outstanding archeologists and architects of T\u00fcrkiye and he was the first advisor of the ICT Seagulls Project and a member of our NGO. But we lost him in 2005.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please visit:\u00a0 https:\/\/siliconsamaritan.my.canva.site\/<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cTRAUMA OF WAR\u201d Circle of Blue Bells Model School (BBMS) (Gurugram, Haryana, India), consisting of 10 students aged 16-17, 1 parent, and 2 community leaders, worked on \u201cThe war and the traumatic results of wars upon martyrs\u2019 families\u201d. With the support of the school principal Mrs. Alka Singh, the team members worked under the great leadership of Dr. Madhu Gupta, Ms. Sanjna Bhasin, Ms. Manisha Kumari, and Dr. Yogesh Sharma. The jury members determined their projects as: \u201cTHE CHAMPION SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECT\u201d &amp; \u201cPROF.EROL \u0130NELMEN JURY SPECIAL AWARD\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please visit:\u00a0 https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/traumaofwar\/home<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cSKYLARKS\u201d Circle of Modernage Public School &amp; Boys School (Abbottabad, Pakistan) consisted of 10 students, 2 parents, and 1 community leader, studying reducing paper wastage in society for a sustainable environment. The team was supported by the school founder Abdul Wahid Mir and the team worked under the guidance of Ms. Tabinda Shahzad and Ahsan Zeb Khan. Their project was awarded as:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cTHE BEST HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY\u201d and \u201cTANER \u00d6ZBEY JURY SPECIAL AWARD\u201d. Taner \u00d6zbey was a great loss for the Y\u0130MEDER family with his kind heart and special efforts for the peace and unity of humanity.<\/p>\n<p>Please visit:\u00a0 https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/traumaofwar\/home<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cTeachers of Atat\u00fcrk\u201d Team studied that project starting from the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic and their project lasted 2 years. The members of the Education Team of Sar\u0131yer City Council planned the project. They decided to prepare a book for improving the Turkish Educational System starting from Sar\u0131yer and moving to all T\u00fcrkiye. The system was designed, and the book was written by Dr. K\u00f6ksal. It will be translated into English as soon as possible. It is a unique project aiming at the \u201cimprovement of Turkish Educational System based upon the principles of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk and the philosophy of Village Institutes which were the schools of the Enlightenment period and existed between 1940 and 1946. The project was awarded as:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cTHE BEST EDUCATIONAL SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECT BASED UPON THE PRINCIPLES OF ATAT\u00dcRK \u201cand \u201cDR. JAGDISH GANDHI JURY SPECIAL AWARD\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>We wholeheartedly congratulate all the students within the teams and thank their supporters, leading teachers, and the parents of students. We wish them good luck with their future successful work.
