DEAR ALL,
This year we had new schools participating in our project. One was Modernage School from Pakistan under the great leadership of Dost Abdul Wahid Mir, and the other one was from Nepal Junior Citizens’ Academy.
City Montessori School from ındia has been with us since 2006 under the great leadership of Dr. Jagdish Gandhi and Dr. Vineeta Kamran. They are the pioneers of the SQC movement not only in their schools but all in Asia, America, and also in Europe.
Blue Bells Model School was with us for the 3rd time under the great leadership of Ms. Alka Singh. That also honored us.
From Turkey 6 projects registered. 5 projects belonged to Sarıyer Municipality Youth Training Centers (SAGEM) which aim to support elementary and secondary school students living in Sarıyer who are in need of extra training after school. Another one was a community seagull team from the Sariyer City Council including educators who aim at developing the educational system not only in Sarıyer but within Turkey. Unfortunately, SAGEM Seagulls had to leave the project at the final step due to an unexpected problem related to the municipality. The other one will be finalized in the coming year.
The peer-assessment stage has already finished and now our precious international judges are assessing the projects. At the end of September, the results will be announced. We wish good luck to all participating bodies.
