Dear all,
In the year 2014, 3 ICT Seagulls and 22 Leading seagulls Projects registered. One of the ICT Seagulls Projects was disqualified due to not obeying the rules. The CMS Project from Lucknow India and the pet-project guided by Ms Kübra Karahanoğlu from Galata Okçu Musa Middle School and Hacı sabancı Anatolian High School were assessed as the CHAMPION PROJECTs.
As a result; “Pet-Lover Hands” Project was determined as the “NATIONAL CHAMPION PROJECT”. To see the project, please visit: www.patidostueller.com
“SQC B. TUCKMAN” Project which was guided by Dr. Vineeta Kamran and PC Bihari whom we lost him towards the end of the term (May His Soul rest in peace)was defined as the “INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION PROJECT” by the jury members. You can see the power point presentation of the project here; http://www.slideshare.net/HayalKoksal/cmssqc-bruce-tuckmanteamwork .
This year, we have started another ICT Project for the working teachers, retired teachers and student teachers. It was called; “International Leading Seagulls Project”. The students of the Faculty of Education in Boğaziçi University participated in the project. In fact they were the students who were attending my two courses: “Classroom management” and “Conflict Resolution”. 22 project were assessed within the project and it was noticed that the grades of all projects were very close each other. As a result, determining the best ones has become very difficult for the Coordinator. All the projects of the student teachers were focusing on very serious current problems and they were all linked to scientific research. You will see the links of all projects below. Anyhow, the best three projects were shared as follows:
“Classroom Management” students;
“The Best Project Award” goes to; “Fun-in-Education” Project of “SQC Edu-tainment”,
“The Second Best Award” goes to; “Values Education” Project of “SQC Bravehearts”, and,
“The Third Best Award” goes to; “Native vs. Non-Native Teachers” Project of “SQC N for Nativeness”.
“Conflict Resolution” students;
“The Best Project Award” goes to; “Street Children” Project of “SQC Snowdrops Lovers”,
“The Second Best Project Award” goes to; “Adolescence problems” of “SQC Endocyrin”, and,
“The Third Best Project Award” goes to; “Child Brides Project” of “SQC Red Ribbon”.
Each year, a Special Award is given on behalf of Prof.Dr. Ümit serdaroğlu who was the first advisor and jury member of our project. This year, this award was given to; “SQC Two Lines” for the “Conflict with people with paraplegia” Project. They visited the Association for the Spinal cord Paralytics (TOFD) to conduct the project and collaborated with them.
We are thankful to our national and international jury members who supported us during the assessment period even though their heavy workload. They are; Prof.Dr. Syed Ali from Johns Hopkins University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Zeynep Kızıltepe and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Nevra Seggie from Boğaziçi University, dear Ms Figen Atalay, the journalist from the Daily Cumhuriyet, and the CEO of Tria Bilişim dear Mr. Mehmet Gül.
The National Award Ceremony will take place in Boğaziçi University during the beginning of the Academic year. For the International Award Ceremonies, team members might attend to the “2. International Convention for Empowering the Disabled” which will be held in Mauritius on Mayıs 2015, and/or to the 18. ICSQCC which will be eralized at CMS, Lucknow, India on December 2015.
I have been inviting all the teachers (working, retired and student-) and the students of K-12 classes to our next year projects.
